Orion Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking an experienced and competent Night Receptionist to join their team at the beautiful Safari Hotel & Convention Centre, located in Rustenburg, North West province.

This pivotal role serves as the first point of contact for guests arriving during night-time hours. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service while expertly managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all guests and visitors throughout the night.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Must have 2+ years of reception and reservations experience within the hospitality industry.
• Must be able to work on Protel or Opera Booking system (PMS).
• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality or hotel management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
• Familiarity with hotel management software and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure during busy periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong customer liaison skills and a friendly and professional manner are essential.
• Certification in hospitality management or related fields is an advantage.
• Knowledge of local attractions and amenities to better assist guests is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in guests as they arrive, ensuring a smooth and friendly welcome.
• Manage reservations, handle inquiries, and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
• Handle guest requests efficiently, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
• Process payments, manage cash transactions, and maintain accurate financial records throughout your shift.
• Oversee the security of the hotel during night hours, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding guest needs and room status.
• Address any guest complaints or issues with professionalism, following up to ensure resolution.
• Prepare night audit reports and maintain organized records of guest information and transactions.
