Opportunity Overview
The North West Office of the Premier invites applications for various vacancies. As an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer, the Office is dedicated to fostering diversity and equity within its workforce.
In line with its Employment Equity Plan, the Office of the Premier prioritises applicants from designated groups, with preference given to Persons with Disabilities, Youth, and Females for all available positions.
Minimum Requirements
- SMS Pre-Entry Certificate: Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service (SMS Pre Entry Certificate) is required prior to the finalisation of any appointment into an SMS (Senior Management Service) post. More details on this course can be found at: https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme.
- Assessments: All shortlisted candidates, including those for SMS posts, will undergo two pre-entry assessments: a practical exercise and an Integrity (ethical conduct) assessment.
- Suitability Checks: Successful candidates will be required to undergo personnel suitability checks, which include criminal records, citizenship, financial checks, qualifications verification, and previous employment (reference checks).
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted either online or by hand delivery.
Application Documents:
- Z83 Form: Complete the approved Z83 form (81/971431), obtainable from any Public Service Department or the DPSA website (www.dpsa.gov.za). Ensure Part A is fully completed. Parts B, C, and D can be left blank, marked as not relevant, or use dashes/N/A if they do not apply. Parts E, F, and G do not need to be completed if your CV provides the required information; however, the question related to conditions that prevent re-appointment under Part F is compulsory for applicants seeking re-employment into the Public Service.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Attach a detailed CV clearly indicating positions held, the period in each position, and key responsibilities, along with three contactable referees. Mention the subject of relevant qualifications in your CV.
- Combined Document: For online applications, the Z83 and CV must be combined into a single PDF document.
Application Methods:
- Online Application:
- Submit your combined Z83 and CV in one PDF document.
- Ensure the subject line of your email clearly indicates the correct job title and the reference number of the post.
- Crucially, use the correct email address associated with the specific post you are applying for. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. (Please note: Specific email addresses for individual posts are not provided in this general vacancy announcement and must be obtained from the specific post advertisement).
- Hand Delivery:
- Deliver your application documents to:
- Directorate of Human Resource Management
- Second Floor, Ga-rona Building
- Mmabatho
Important Notes:
- All applications must clearly indicate the correct reference number.
- Applicants are not required to submit copies of qualifications or other relevant documents with their initial application. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the HR Directorate to submit certified documents on or before the day of the interview.
- Incomplete Z83 forms and late applications will not be considered.
- Communication will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
Closing Date: Applications close on 05 October 2026 at 16H00 for both walk-in and online submissions.

What this kind of post involves
A permanent post is ongoing employment with no end date, carrying full benefits and, in the public service, a defined salary level with annual notch progression. These are advertised competitively and the selection process is considerably more formal than for programme placements.
How permanent posts work: the week, the qualification and where it leads →Watch out for this
The screening is mechanical and happens before anyone reads your CV: the advert’s own application instructions are applied as written, and an incomplete or unsigned form is discarded whatever the rest of the application says.
