Opportunity Overview

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality invites applications for the position of Senior Superintendent: Auto Electrical within its Infrastructure and Engineering Directorate, specifically in Fleet Management Services. Minimum Requirements

• A trade-tested artisan or an equivalent technical qualification in Auto-Electrical.
• Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Five years or more post-apprenticeship experience.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and at least one other official local language.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good coordination skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able-bodied to perform the relevant functions (shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination).

Key Responsibilities

• Co-ordinating activities related to monitoring the repair and planned maintenance of automotive electrical systems.
• Scheduling resource requirements in line with approved programmes and priorities.
• Checking on execution, applying corrective measures for deviations, and solving complex technical faults in electrical systems and wiring.
• Maintaining quality and service standards.
• Handling administrative reporting and recordkeeping to ensure operational goals are met.
