Minimum Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed their studies and hold a National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
  • If you have not yet received your qualification, you must provide proof of academic prescripts or a letter confirming completion of studies and impending graduation.
  • Candidates who have previously participated in any government internship programme will not be considered. If this is discovered after appointment, the contract will be terminated immediately.
  • Specific qualifications required for available internship opportunities include:
  • Knowledge Information Management: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Archives and Records Management, Information Science, B-Tech in Public Management, or Records Management.
  • Research Management and Auxiliary Services: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Research Management or equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Macro Planning: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Records Management, Public Administration, or Business Management.
  • Office on the Status of Women: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or a relevant qualification.
  • Office on the Status of Elderly Persons: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science.
  • Office on the Status of Disabled Persons: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or any relevant qualification (for applicants with disabilities).
  • Office of the DDG: Policy Research, Performance, Monitoring & Evaluation: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Town & Regional Planning, Development and Planning, Development Studies, Social Science, Public Policy, Social Protection, or Community and Human Development Cluster.
  • Community and Human Development Cluster: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, or Public Management/Affairs.
  • Transversal Human Resource Management Services: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or Management.
  • Government Communication and Information Services: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations.
  • Organizational Risk and Ethics Management: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Accounting Science.
  • Employee Health & Wellness: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Social Science (with a focus on Psychology).
  • Internal Human Resource Management & Development: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Management of Training, or any relevant qualification.
  • Office of the Director-General: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management or Administration or any relevant qualification.
