The iStore is looking for passionate and customer-focused individuals to join their in-store technical teams across retail stores through an IT Learnership programme. This opportunity is designed for those who enjoy helping people, communicate confidently, and thrive in a dynamic retail setting.

As an IT Learner, you will work closely with experienced technical teams, providing support to customers with their Apple devices and technology questions. The 12-month paid learnership offers exposure across multiple areas of the business, with an initial 6-week rotation through various departments to gain broad insight into iStore operations, systems, customer experience, and technical support.

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed Matric (Grade 12)
  • Completed A+ and N+ Qualification
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and macOS
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Key Responsibilities

As part of the in-store technical support team, you will:

  • Support customers with technical queries relating to phones, laptops, tablets, accessories, and other technology products.
  • Troubleshoot basic software and hardware-related issues.
  • Assist customers in understanding and using their devices more effectively.
  • Provide professional, friendly, and solution-driven customer support in-store and telephonically.
  • Escalate complex issues where required.
  • Maintain accurate customer and repair records.
  • Work closely with store teams and technical specialists to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Participate in a structured rotational training programme across different business areas.
  • Travel to different stores when required to support operational needs.
  • Work retail hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak retail periods.

What the Work Involves

This learnership places you directly within the fast-paced environment of iStore retail stores, engaging daily with customers. You will be a key part of the in-store technical support team, primarily focused on assisting people with their Apple devices and other technology.
