Opportunity Overview
The Gauteng Department of Health is inviting applications for a Material Recording Clerk (Warehouse) position within its Procurement Directorate. This opportunity is based at Weskoppies Hospital.
This role provides essential administrative support for Supply Chain Management and warehouse operations, contributing to the efficient functioning of the department. The successful candidate will receive an annual package of R 237 453.00, plus benefits.
Minimum Requirements
- A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- South African citizenship.
- At least 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PAS 1 & PAS 2 systems and processes.
- Experience in inventory management and stock control.
- Knowledge of contract management policies.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) prescripts.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Knowledge of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA).
- Knowledge of National Treasury Regulations.
- Computer literacy, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office, is highly recommended.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are beneficial.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills are recommended.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills are valuable.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is advantageous.
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is also recommended.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for Supply Chain Management and warehouse operations.
- Receive, check, record, and store incoming stock according to warehouse procedures.
- Pick, pack, collect, and issue stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
- Update and maintain bin cards and stock ledgers for all warehouse commodities.
- Maintain accurate inventory management records and systems.
- Compile RLS01 (Purchasing Requisition Forms) for stock replenishment.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of bi-annual stock-taking activities.
- Perform general warehouse duties to support efficient stock management.
- Respond to and resolve internal and external supply chain and warehouse queries.
- Assist with general office administration within the Supply Chain Management environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing of supply chain records.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and Supply Chain Management policies.
