Opportunity Overview

The Gateway Airports Authority Limited (GAAL), a provincially owned business enterprise, is inviting applications from young graduates for its 12-month Internship Programme. GAAL is responsible for managing Polokwane International Airport.

This programme offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in various fields. Positions are offered on a fixed-term basis for a period of twelve months, with a monthly stipend of R7,000.

Minimum Requirements

  • Unemployed South African citizens
  • Between 18 and 35 years of age
  • In possession of a Bachelor’s degree or 3-year National Diploma at NQF level 6 or 7 in the required field
  • No prior work experience is required

Specific Role Requirements:

  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT) (Reference No: ICT 01/26): Degree or Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology or a related qualification.
  • Public Relations Officer (Reference No: SMCC 02/26): Degree or Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Marketing Management, Public Relations, Media Studies, Journalism, or Communications.
  • Aviation Compliance Officer (Reference No: AC 03/26): Degree or Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Aviation Management, Quality Management, Safety Management, Operations Management, or any related qualification.

  • Ensuring all operations comply with FAA and other relevant bodies' regulations
