Minimum Requirements

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting / Financial Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong academic performance.
• Superior English reading, writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication abilities and a keen attention to detail.
• Full proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Assist with preparing ledger balances and initial trial balances, including all necessary reconciliations, Balance Sheet Accounts, and supporting documentation.
• Support with various reporting tasks, including Sales, Scrap, Inventory, Manual Dispatch Note, and Month End reporting.
• Assist in preparations and execution of monthly stock takes.
• Help with Bill of Material updates for parts produced and standard cost updates for raw materials purchased.
• Support weekly wages processing, creditors payments, and creditors reconciliations.
• Assist with monitoring, capitalisation, and tagging of fixed assets.
• Provide support for office printers, including maintenance requests and toner orders.
• Assist with general filing, record keeping, and various financial requests.

What the Work Involves

As a Finance Intern, you will be deeply involved in the daily financial operations of a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your work will focus on supporting the finance team across a wide array of tasks, from ensuring compliance with internal controls to assisting with various financial reports.

You will regularly help with ledger balances, reconciliations, and reporting for areas such as sales, inventory, and month-end figures. The role also involves practical tasks like supporting stock takes, managing fixed assets, and assisting with general administrative duties within the finance department. You will gain exposure to how financial processes support a manufacturing operation.
