Minimum Requirements

• Senior Certificate
• A three-year recognised qualification at NQF 6/7 in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Driver’s licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and independently conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and incorporated Standards.
• Confirm registration with the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.
• Plan, investigate, and finalise incidents and complaints reported pertaining to the OHS Act and relevant regulations, including enforcement and appearing in court as a state witness.
• Plan and conduct proactive inspections as per schedule to monitor compliance with labour legislation, including compiling and consolidating reports.
• Plan and conduct advocacy campaigns on all labour legislation, analyse their impact, and compile reports.
• Contribute to the planning, drafting, and maintenance of regional inspection plans and reports, including executing analysis and compiling consolidated statistical reports.
