The DPSA is seeking dedicated individuals for positions in Pretoria. Successful candidates will be appointed at salary Level 05, with an annual salary of R237,453.

Currently, the following entry-level positions are open for applications: Human Resource Clerk and Customer Care Agent.

Minimum Requirements

For the Human Resource Clerk (Reference No: DPSA 19/2026)

  • Education: Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
  • Experience: No previous experience is required.
  • Knowledge:
  • Clerical duties and practices.
  • Ability to capture and collect statistics.
  • Legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Working procedures related to the office environment.
  • Skills:
  • Computer skills.
  • Interpersonal relations.
  • Flexibility and teamwork.
  • Planning and organisation.
  • Language proficiency.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attributes: Analytical, Initiative, Openness and Transparency.

For the Customer Care Agent (Reference No: DPSA 18/2026)

  • Education: A Senior Certificate, with a minimum qualification at NQF Level 4 in Customer Care, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resource Management, as recognised by SAQA.

  • Public service administration.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resource Clerk (Reference No: DPSA 19/2026)

  • Provide general clerical support services.
  • Record, organise, store, capture, and retrieve correspondence and data.
  • Handle routine enquiries.
  • Type letters and draft minutes and/or other correspondence for the Directorate.
  • Provide supply chain clerical support services within the component.
  • Update and maintain the asset register of the component.
  • Manage stock control of office stationery.
  • Maintain the leave register for the component.
  • Provide personnel administration clerical support services within the component.
  • Provide financial administration support services within the component.

Customer Care Agent (Reference No: DPSA 18/2026)

  • Provide capacity building and support to government departments and employees on GEHS services and products.
  • Respond to customer queries, complaints, and disputes regarding GEHS products and services.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to government departments and employees to resolve queries, complaints, and disputes related to housing allowance benefits.
  • Assist government employees with the process of enrolling with the GEHS.
  • Resolve incoming calls and emails from government employees and refer relevant queries to appropriate officials.
  • Provide capacity building to government departments through GEHS education and outreach sessions.
  • Develop project plans for GEHS educational and outreach sessions.
  • Provide support in content development for GEHS branding and marketing materials and website updates.
