Opportunity Overview

The City of uMhlathuze, recognised as one of South Africa's modern and rapidly expanding municipalities, is inviting applications for a Project Manager (Electrical) position within its Electrical Energy Services Department. This opportunity is designed for qualified professionals to contribute to the municipality's electrical infrastructure development and management, ensuring the delivery of essential services to the community.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • 5 years’ relevant experience
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in Management will be an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Programme Accounting, Costing and Cost Control Systems
  • Manage Project Planning and Schedule Control Systems
  • Ensure Project Cost Estimation
  • Ensure Project Contracting
  • Ensure Project Administration and Reporting
  • Provide inputs during the Feasibility and Business Case stages for Projects in the Portfolio (5% Implement)
  • Manage Project Management Discipline and Knowledge in the portfolio
  • Manage drawing office
  • Possess extensive knowledge of low voltage and high voltage up to 132 KV infrastructure
