Opportunity Overview
The City of Johannesburg Metro, through its Department of Economic Development, is offering exciting Short-Term Contract positions under the Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP). These roles are designed to provide crucial administrative and data capturing support within the EPWP Unit.
Successful candidates will contribute to key areas including Administration, Data Capturing, Finance, and Informal Trading. This is a short-term contract opportunity, not exceeding 12 months, and comes with a monthly stipend.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF level 4 or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of administration and data capturing experience.
- Working knowledge of EPWPRS will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of COJ Informal Trading Policy will be an advantage.
- Computer Literacy, especially with MS Applications.
- Good communication skills.
- Coordinating skills.
- Minute taking ability.
- Basic report-writing skills.
- Attention to detail and diligence.
- Knowledge of EPWP, EPWPRS, Local Government, and Public Administration Legislation.
- Understanding of Batho Pele Principle Ethics, Professionalism, HR, and COJ values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide data capturing and administrative support to the EPWP Unit.
- Perform EPWP data capturing tasks.
- Undertake general office administration duties.
- Assist with Informal Trading and Finance support.
