Opportunity Overview
Rhodes University invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for a Senior Lecturer position in the Department of Economics and Economic History. This is a 3-year contract role based in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape.

Minimum Requirements
- A PhD in Economics, completed at the time of application.
- Teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Experience in postgraduate supervision at Master's level.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a variety of research methods (quantitative and qualitative) in supervision and teaching, such as in running practicals.
- Ability to teach and supervise across a broad range of topics focusing on Institutional Economics, Public Policy, and Development Economics.
- A strong emerging research profile at a national level, evidenced by publications in accredited journals and conference attendance. International research collaboration and publications are considered an advantage.
- A proven track record of administration, management, and/or leadership roles.
