Opportunity Overview
The National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) is offering a permanent position for a Marketing Coordinator based in Bloemfontein. This role is crucial for supporting and coordinating all communication, marketing, and stakeholder relations activities within the Free State and Northern Cape provinces.
The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing marketing strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and promoting the NHBRC's brand and products at a provincial level. This is an opportunity to contribute to the council's objectives through strategic marketing and effective communication.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Stakeholder Relations Media and Cultural Studies, Social Science, or Public Relations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Membership with the Public Relations Institute of SA will be considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Providing input into the development of provincial marketing and communications strategies and plans.
- Implementing marketing and communications plans aligned with provincial and NHBRC strategies.
- Marketing the NHBRC’s products and brand within the province.
- Identifying provincial marketing needs to inform strategy development.
- Coordinating the distribution of marketing tools and customer communication material.
- Supporting and coordinating all marketing interventions for the province.
- Planning and coordinating provincial corporate events and roadshows.
- Arranging approved ad hoc provincial marketing activities such as golf days and exhibitions.
- Participating in Provincial Awards and functions.
- Initiating, maintaining, and supporting relationships with external and internal stakeholders in the province.
- Ensuring provincial stakeholders are informed about marketing campaigns, action plans, and provincial trends.
- Managing and maintaining the provincial home builder and stakeholder database.
- Enhancing customer relationships through consumer education at a provincial level.
- Supporting training officers in builder training interventions.
- Supporting the achievement of Social Transformation targets.
- Initiating and maintaining internal and external campaigns, including outreach activations.
- Writing articles for internal communications of provincial relevance across NHBRC platforms.
- Assisting with content development for provincial stakeholder events.
- Maintaining an accurate media database for the province.
- Initiating and conducting media interviews related to provincial programs and activities.
- Assisting in the reduction of wasteful expenditure and implementing marketing plans within budget.
- Compiling monthly and quarterly reports, initiating purchase requisitions, and submitting memos and letters.
