Opportunity Overview

MTN South Africa offers an IT support internship at its Roodepoort head office for IT graduates seeking first-line and infrastructure-support experience in a large enterprise environment.

This internship is based in Roodepoort, Gauteng (Gauteng) and falls under the MICT SETA — Media, Information & Communication Technologies, leading to a NQF Level 6 qualification. A monthly stipend is provided: R7 500 – R9 000 / month.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum qualification: Diploma (NQF 6)
• South African citizen with a valid ID
• Aged 18–35 (youth programme)
• Currently unemployed and not on another funded programme
• Clear criminal record
• National Diploma in IT/Information Systems
• A+/N+ certification advantageous

Key Responsibilities

During this internship you will:

• Providing first-line desktop and application support
• Logging and tracking tickets in the service-desk system
• Assisting with hardware setup, imaging and asset tracking
• Supporting network and account administration tasks
• Completing an internship competency logbook

Stipend & Benefits

Successful candidates receive a monthly stipend of R7 500 – R9 000 / month for the duration of the programme, on-the-job mentorship, and a nationally recognised NQF Level 6 qualification on successful completion.
