Media24, South Africa's largest media brand, is inviting applications for its 12-month Technology and AI Graduate Programme. The programme, which begins on 1 February 2027, offers a structured environment to learn and grow. You will rotate through different projects, gaining exposure to various aspects of engineering and artificial intelligence.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a BSC Hons degree or an equivalent qualification with Computer Science or Engineering subjects.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be willing to be based full-time in the office in either Cape Town (Foreshore) or Johannesburg (Randburg).
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, ask questions, and apply new knowledge.
- Be curious and interested in the work and the media industry.
- Possess clear communication skills and the ability to ask questions effectively.
- Be passionate about your work and committed to high-quality standards.
- Be interested in using analytical thinking to solve problems in an organised and meticulous way.
- Be comfortable working with ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
As a participant in this graduate programme, you will be involved in the following:
- Learning new technologies, including cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Working within collaborative, cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement AI solutions for business challenges.
- Participating in the complete lifecycle of AI project development, from initial concept and data collection to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Developing and maintaining scalable and efficient AI systems using a variety of programming languages and tools.
- Conducting research to stay informed about emerging AI technologies and methodologies.
- Rotating through various projects, including areas such as natural language processing and predictive analytics.
