Opportunity Overview

The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Deputy Director General: Agriculture. This is a senior leadership role based at the Head Office in Johannesburg.

This permanent position offers an all-inclusive annual salary package of R1,885,710. It represents a chance to contribute to the agricultural sector within the Gauteng province.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Matric certificate.
• An NQF Level 8 Post Graduate qualification in Agriculture, Veterinary Services, Business Administration, or Management, as recognised by SAQA.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience at a Senior Managerial level.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• Possession of a Nyukela SMS pre-entry certificate and an ethics compliance certificate.
• For applicants with foreign qualifications, an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) must be provided.
