Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Aged 18–35 (youth programme)
  • Currently unemployed and not on another funded programme
  • Clear criminal record
  • National Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting or Public Finance
  • Resident of eThekwini advantageous

Key Responsibilities

During this internship you will:

  • Supporting budget preparation and expenditure monitoring
  • Assisting with revenue and billing reconciliations
  • Helping process supply-chain and payment documentation
  • Preparing basic financial reports under supervision
  • Completing the municipal internship logbook

Stipend & Benefits

Successful candidates receive a monthly stipend of R7 000 – R8 500 / month for the duration of the programme, on-the-job mentorship, and a nationally recognised NQF Level 6 qualification on successful completion.
