Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma (NQF 6)
  • South African citizen with a valid ID
  • Aged 18–35 (youth programme)
  • Currently unemployed and not on another funded programme
  • Clear criminal record
  • National Diploma (Electrical Engineering) requiring P1/P2
  • Valid driver’s licence advantageous

Key Responsibilities

During this internship you will:

  • Assisting with electrical maintenance and testing on generation plant
  • Supporting fault-finding on HV/LV distribution equipment under supervision
  • Preparing technical reports, drawings and maintenance records
  • Observing and applying Eskom plant safety and lock-out procedures
  • Completing logbook competencies signed off by registered engineers

Stipend & Benefits

Successful candidates receive a monthly stipend of R8 000 – R9 500 / month for the duration of the programme, on-the-job mentorship, and a nationally recognised NQF Level 6 qualification on successful completion.
