Minimum Requirements

• Must be a graduate keen to demonstrate passion for the financial markets.
• Hold one of the following qualifications: BCom, BBus Sci, CFA, Act Sci, or Engineering.
• Alternatively, hold any degree with a major in Accounting, Investments, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist analysts with research projects across diverse sectors.
• Attend meetings with management and Investment Research (IR) teams.
• Perform administrative duties to support the research process.
• Prepare presentations for report-backs and roadshows.
• Support analysts in developing spreadsheet models and conducting company analyses.
• Provide assistance on various ad hoc projects as required.

What the Work Involves

Participants in this programme will be deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of an investment research team. You will primarily assist experienced analysts by contributing to various research projects across different financial sectors, applying your analytical skills to real-world scenarios.

The role involves practical tasks such as developing and refining spreadsheet models, performing detailed company analyses, and preparing professional presentations for internal report-backs and external roadshows. You will also undertake administrative work crucial to the research process and attend important meetings with management and Investment Research teams, gaining insights into strategic discussions. This hands-on experience will take place within an office environment, working closely alongside seasoned professionals.
