Opportunity Overview
The Department of Agriculture is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director for Asset Management to join its team in Pretoria, Gauteng. Minimum Requirements
- A Grade 12 Certificate.
- A National Diploma in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Public Management (NQF Level 6).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience at a supervisory level in Asset Management.

- Inform, guide, and advise departmental employees on asset management matters.

- Manage the disposal and transfer processes for assets in the department.
- Supervise the receipt and issue of all movable assets, performing quantity and quality control.
- Compile memorandums and reports on disposals to the Disposal Committee.
- Ensure correct financial reporting and manage the reconciliation process between BAS and the Asset Register.
- Prepare financial information for financial statement purposes.
- Supervise employees to ensure sound physical asset management, including allocating duties, quality control, performance management, and ensuring training and development.
