Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12/Matric certificate
• 0 - 1 years of retail experience (previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded but is not essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest level of Adidas service is provided to each customer.
• Complete regular sales transactions, including cash, credit, and checks.
• Assist with ticketing products and checking paperwork against received items.
• Aid in product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Assist in developing merchandise displays or follow suggestions from the store management team.
• Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policy and procedure.
• Utilise selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing technical information to enhance sales and meet store goals.
• Greet customers in the store and assist them in finding the right product.
• Occasionally serve primarily as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store.
• Assist in safeguarding Company assets and loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor, reporting suspicious activity, and following security procedures.
• Participate in in-store or digital training provided by the company to ensure product knowledge and role best practice.
• Familiarise yourself with Power BI tools for understanding store performance, best sellers, and product analysis.

What the Work Involves

As a Permanent Part-timer, you will spend your days in a dynamic retail environment, directly interacting with customers. Your daily tasks will include greeting visitors, assisting them in finding products, and processing sales efficiently using the point-of-sale system. You'll also be involved in managing the flow of products from the stockroom to the sales floor, helping to create appealing merchandise displays, and ensuring the store remains clean and tidy.

A key part of the role involves actively selling by describing product features and suggesting additional items, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service. You will also contribute to store security by monitoring the sales floor and following loss prevention guidelines. Regular training, both in-store and digital, will keep you up-to-date on products and best practices, making this a role where you constantly learn and contribute to the store's success.
